They throw us bones, and we retrieve
They tell us lies, and we believe
Tell us to stay and we obey

I say we bite the hand that feeds, and see the blood is running green

It’s headlines and sound bites
They all fight for our attention
It’s regurgitation of misinformation here
It’s our outrage, that pays their wage
And our fear, keeps them on air
The media thrives as we divide

I say it’s time to pull the plug, see what’s underneath the rug
This monopoly of the mind
