Lyrics:
Behold I saw a woman dressed in purple and scarlet, adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup filled with abomination and fornication. She seats scornfully on a great beast. On her forehead was written: “Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots, and of the abominations of the earth.”
This woman filled her cup with the blood of the saints. For she has become drunk with the blood of the martyrs. The souls that were slain cry out:
Avenge the martyrs, Avenge Your Saints, Our Enemies they lie in wait
She has intoxicated the inhabitants of the world with her harlotry, all nations have drunk the wine she has mixed and the kings of this world have indulged in her fornication. The merchants have become rich by her sensuous luxury.
Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive her plagues. For the Lord has remembered her iniquities.
She says in her heart, “I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will see no sorrow.” But it is the Lord who will judge her. And now, the Lord will judge her and inflict her with great afflictions: anguish, torment, mourning, grief, nakedness, and desolation.
For this is the Word of the Lord:
Burn the harlot, Burn her flesh, Her fornication shall be consumed Burn the harlot, Burn her flesh, Her fornication shall be consumed
Burn the harlot, Burn her flesh, Her fornication shall be consumed Burn the harlot, Burn her flesh, Her fornication shall be consumed
Avenge Your martyrs, Avenge Your Saints, Our Enemies they lie in waste
