Welcome to the Promised Land cover
10. Leaving On a Good Note
Album: Welcome to the Promised Land
Artist: Caddy&Co

Verse 1
My face is tired and cold and oh so alone And hidden underneath
A sea of guilt and sorrow sung And there begging me not to leave Begging me not to leave
Hello greed and hello cheat Fake to everyone I meet Hey selfishness and lies
I’m glad you’re here, so I can say goodbye I’m leaving on a good note
Chorus
Yeah I’m gonna see the sun shine a little more Let it light up my life
And take off the face that keeps me safe When I sleep at night
I’ll never have to fight for it anymore When I need to cry i'm gonna let it pour
Gonna say my thanks before I got the front door With a bit of hope
Cause it’s a long way home But i'm leaving on a good note Yeah i'm a little bit broke
But i'm leaving on a good note

Verse 2
Tired and cold and oh so alone And hidden underneath
The One who’s greater than anything I heard His voice in the suffering

Chorus
He said I’m gonna see the sun shine a little more Let it light up my life
And take off the face that keeps me safe When I sleep at night
I’ll never have to fight for it anymore When I need to cry i'm gonna let it pour
Gonna say my thanks before I got the front door With a bit of hope
Cause it’s a long way home

But i'm leaving on a good note Yeah i'm a little bit broke
But i'm leaving on a good note

Tag
Yeah it’s a long way home
But I’m leaving on a good… note
