07. Time Well Spent

On A Search In America
by Dizmas

Letís count the time weíve spent here
It might just last forever
Though few might understand this, we live for one
And it might seem confusing
But we wonít fail to do this
And as you seek our motives, we just have one
How long youíve shown you amplify our calling
Now we will always stay here and seek the mind thatís sleeping

Our lives are on the line for you
Weíll keep on fighting!
Weíll keep on moving on!
Moving on!

Itís time to sing our music
You know the people lose it
Itís clear but they confuse it, we live for one
Now that we sing this song for you
Thatís only half of what we do
And now the show is over, we might save one
Itís true, will you? New life is in the making
We hope you had your fun here and now your soul is waking

I can see youíve played the game
Like youíre stuck in all the chains
We will never be the same, the same

Now itís time that you make a change
Letís go far and out of this place
Letís leave while leaving a trace

Behind the Song:
"I had the idea for this song three or four years ago and worked with Josh and Zach on the lyrics. Itís basically a song about being out on the road and getting home from your first tour. One line is about our ďlives being on the line for You,Ē which goes back to us wanting to share our hearts and literally put our lives on the line for the Lord." - Clayton Hunt (Dizmas)

"We had worked on this over the years and werenít going to include it at first, but we really worked back around at it to give it a fresh sound. It wound up being the tenth song we chose for the record and there are a lot of intricate drum parts and chord crafting that really compliment each other." - Nick Arnanda (Dizmas)
