Those Were The Days (Volume 3) cover
11. I'm Still Alive
Album: Those Were The Days (Volume 3)
Artist: Jerusalem

Darkness is gone, victory is won
Death is defeated, not guilty is pleaded

Sentenced to prison for the rest of my life
But just because of love I am still alive
I'm still alive, oh

Darkness is gone, victory is won
Death is defeated, not guilty is pleaded
Sentenced to prison for the rest of my life
But just because of love we're all still alive
We're still alive, I'm still alive

Our burdens almost killed us
Our heart was full of unbelief
We turned our backs on Jesus
Was lost in pride and vanity
He could have said you're guilty
But he saw our condition
He took our sins He took our punishment
He saved us, yes He did

Darkness is gone, victory is won
Death is defeated, not guilty is pleaded
Darkness is gone, victory is won
Death is defeated, not guilty is pleaded

Sentenced to prison for the rest of my life
But just because of love I am still alive
I'm still alive, oh

Darkness is gone, victory is won
Death is defeated, not guilty is pleaded
Sentenced to prison for the rest of my life
But just because of love we're all still alive
We're still alive, I'm still alive

Our burdens almost killed us
Our heart was full of unbelief
We turned our backs on Jesus
Was lost in pride and vanity
He could have said you're guilty
But he saw our condition
He took our sins He took our punishment
He saved us, yes He did

Darkness is gone, victory is won
Death is defeated, not guilty is pleaded
