Wow To The Deadness EP cover
02. Wait Up Downstep
Album: Wow To The Deadness EP
Artist: Steve Taylor & The Danielson Foil

Wait and step and wait

I want and needed it all
Five seconds ago

Wait and step and wait

I go stand on my head
Take stabs in the dark

Wait and step and wait

While the 'ol whole kitchen sink
is coming at me

Wait and step and wait

But I've done done it this way
For all of my life

You stretch me with a smile
While I eat this humble pie
The warfare that's between my ears
I sweat it out while you cheer

Wait and step and wait

Let's shake out the dead wood
Through the ringer

Wait and step and wait

Get back into the race
From within to around

Wait and step and wait

I let go of the wrath
And throw you the ball

Wait and step and wait

You are all always on time
It's a risk to my head

You stretch me with a smile
While I eat this humble pie
The warfare that's between my ears
I sweat it out while you cheer

Give me joyful liberty
Transcending up in awe of
How you go oh can I know
Let us be known by our love

Wait and step and wait
