Autumn & Eve: Old Testament Volume 1 - EP cover
04. Weight
Album: Autumn & Eve: Old Testament Volume 1 - EP
Artist: Cindy Morgan

The weight of the world is dragging me down
And bad just gets worse and that’s where I am now
Oooh, the weight of this hurt feels like it might burst
And if I threw it off, then all might be lost

So I lift it up like I’m strong enough
Is it stupid pride?
I sing down inside
Why is it so hard to touch the sky?
With the weight of the world

I can’t carry it through
I can’t do it for You
But if I drop it now
The crash would be loud

And I know that You have carried it too
Oh You took it from me
Oh how to be free?

Why is it so hard to touch the sky?
Where’s the weight of the world

Old habits die hard
So I lay in the yard
And look up at the sky
And pretend I can fly

Why is it so hard to touch the sky?
With the weight of the world
The weight of the world
The weight of the world
