I feel it in my bones. I’m following the voices ‘till I know. I can see the calm of the storm in your love. I can say the eye of the lord sees enough. I feel it in my pulse. A whisper in the dark that guides me home. Quickening my blood as it sinks into soil. Tearing up my roots from the comfort below. And She came crashing into hell like the plague with the sound of rolling thunder. Standing like a rock against the waves. She said “I can free you from the pain, but you should know it could pull you under. The more you give the more I take away.” Feels like I am lost. I’m following the footsteps ‘till I know. I can see the God of the mountain is one. I’m walking on the path that no traveler has touched. It feels like coming home. So familiar and so far from what I know. I wrestled with the angel that won’t let me sleep. He tore away my skin but my intentions I keep. Forces of Light, pieces that die, cycles of life and the less I’m knowing. Certainty blinds. You’re black and you’re white. I’m leaving all my blood on the altar of love.
