In Defiance EP cover
04. In Defiance
Album: In Defiance EP
Artist: Matt Sassano

Verse 1
In this world of whispers nobody dares to make a sound
But in this empire built on lies the walls are cracking now

Pre chorus 1

Never bow
Tear it down
Let their secrets out
Their throne is made of plastic
They wear a fragile crown
Never bow
Say it loud
Time to wake the crowd
Don’t let them tell you that you’re powerless.

Chorus
They won’t take us
We’re standing in defiance
Throw your hands up
Raise the torch
Bring down the lightening
Can you hear it as the giants fall?
We’re taking back what’s ours
We’ve been captive in the quiet
But one voice can break the silence

Verse 2
In this cage of cardboard
Can you smell the kerosene?
A thousand victims voices
Raging to a fiery scram

Pre chorus 2
Never bow
Tear it down
Gripping my grenade
Blood on my bayonet
Dare me to disobey?
Never bow, say it loud
Time to shake the ground
We’re never giving in to cowardice
