Day is fading, but baby, I don’t mind
‘Cause sunlight is dancing in your eyes
And time is frozen but somehow flying by
Here with your hand holding mine
It just feels right kissing on a Sunday
I’ll hold you tight as if it were the last day
With all my might, I will keep the world away
It just feels right kissing you on a Sunday
Time is racing to the sound of my heart beating
Can the dreaming escape this life
Unfair, maybe, but know that I’m not leaving
Right now, baby, life is kind
Make this moment last for a lifetime
Don’t let it slip away
Play it over and over like your favorite song
And we’ll fit forever in a day

Behind the Song:“This is just a simple love song. It’s funny, because we wrote it the day after we wrote ‘Be My Covering’ - a bit of a heavy song - at my lake house. We loved it. We thought it was simple and true. We wanted to put it on the record … and then we wanted to not put it on the record. We couldn’t exactly find a place for it in the context of these other songs about hope in the middle of desperation, but we also couldn’t get away from it, because it says something about where both Jason and I are right now. In the end, the song won. Being at the end of the album, I think it’s a chance for people who have been through this journey with us, with all the turmoil and hope in these songs, to sit back and say, ‘It’s okay for things to be light sometimes. It’s okay to just breathe’.” - Bebo Norman
