Behind the Song:
"A fresh take on "Daddy's little girl." My co-writing partner and friend Shaun Shankel and I wrote this about the new woman in his life--Evangeline Ruth Shankel--how he never knew he could love like this and that the innocent and pure romance of a father's love was life-altering, how he will never be the same again, and how he thought he'd given his whole heart away to his blushing bride Erin, but that somehow, God gave him a second one to give Evangeline." - Plumb
