Nashville, TN - Mission of Mercy is excited to announce the expansion of their Artist Program. While the organization has spent years coming to the aid of some of the neediest and poorest of the world’s children, they have put a renewed focus on their artist program to help spread the word about urgent needs across the globe. The program is open to both signed and independent artists who are serious about changing the world, and being a voice for the voiceless.
Phil Baquie, Artist Relations Manager, has been empowered to head up the program. Baquie is a 15 year Music Industry veteran, having worked as an artist, producer, seasoned speaker and artist consultant. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this new position that will not only help Mission of Mercy build their Artist Program, but will also help artists continue to develop their craft and passion.
“I think what initially drew me to Mission of Mercy was their ministry focus,” states Baquie. “Not only are they humanitarian - providing food, education, and medical care -they put a large focus on the future. These kids can experience wholeness through God’s love and their lives can be transformed. As they grow, they can become contributing members and leaders in their local communities.”
“We are so thrilled to have the support in place for our new artist program,” continues Rick Mitchell, Vice President of Development. “We know the importance of partnering with good communicators and artists who are passionate about being a voice for at risk children in developing nations. We believe thousands of lives will be saved and touched through our Artist Program.”
The Mission of Mercy Artist Program’s office is in Nashville, TN, while the headquarters of the organization will remain in Colorado. “We want to be a part of our artist’s lives, and be available to them whenever they need us,” adds Baquie. “It only makes sense that we have a location in Nashville that is closer to where most of our artists live. Customer service has always been a large priority to Mission of Mercy, and our artist program will be no different.”
Already the growing program has 22 artists who are endeavoring to be a part of the solution to many of the world’s harshest realities. The dedicated website for Mission of Mercy’s artists is www.theartistprogram.com.
