
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – March 11, 2008 – After the Dove Awards are handed out at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville on
April 23, 2008, the festivities will continue with the official GMA Dove Awards After Party featuring a special DeGarmo & Key reunion, announced John W. Styll, president of the Gospel Music Association (GMA).
The GMA Dove Awards After Party will be held at the Two Rivers Mansion in Nashville, after the Dove Awards concludes at 9 p.m. The antebellum mansion, located on McGavock Pike, is less than five miles from the Opry, making it an ideal location for the celebration.
Pioneering Christian rock duo DeGarmo and Key will reunite to present the evening’s entertainment.
“The reason for creating an official After Party was to bring the whole Christian and gospel music community together – artists, professionals and fans – to celebrate not only the Doves, but all that has been accomplished over the past year in the Christian and gospel music industry. We hope it will be an unforgettable finish to our community’s biggest night of the year,” said Styll.
Tickets for the GMA Dove Awards After Party are $50 per person, and include valet parking, food and beverage. Tickets to the After Party are separate from entrance to the GMA Dove Awards and can be purchased at GMA at 615-242-0303 or at www.doveawards.com. Tickets will not be available on site.
The Dove Awards, gospel music’s biggest night of the year featuring artists from every style of gospel/Christian music coming together for a night of music and celebration. The 39th Annual GMA Dove Awards will be handed out at the Nashville’s famed Grand Ole Opry House at 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23. While the awards are the purpose of the show, music performances will definitely share center stage at the Dove Awards, showcasing some of gospel music’s hottest and most diverse artists. Tickets for the GMA Dove Awards are on sale at TicketMaster (www.ticketmaster.com). The GMA Dove Awards will also be seen live across the country on the Gospel Music Channel.
