On Wednesday, May 14th fans throughout the U.S. can tune into NBC's Today Show to catch CeCe Winans in the ten o'clock hour chatting about her upcoming participation in AARP's star- studded 50th Anniversary musical. The once in a lifetime mega-event is directed by Golden Globe, Emmy and Tony award -winning producer and choreographer Debbie Allen featuring heavy-weight female vocalists such as: Chaka Khan, Dionne Warwick, Queen Latifah, Patti Austin, Shirley Caesar, Yolanda Adams, Ann Nesby and others. Winans has been on a fast track for the past month promoting her new CD, Thy Kingdom Come ( PureSprings Gospel / EMI) laying claim to her third consecutive #1 debut on the Billboard Gospel Charts and her seventh #1 overall on the charts after the release of her eighth solo CD in April. The first single, "Waging War" received the most increased plays at R&R during the first few weeks of release and landed in the Billboard's Hot Box as top selling Gospel CD of the week.
