THE MUSIC BOAT ’08: MAY SAILING BREAKS RECORDS, SETS NEW STANDARDS FOR “FUN IN THE SUN”

(Nashville, Tennessee) –May 28, 2008 – Premier Christian Cruises’ May 19-23rd sailing of their annual cruise event, The Music Boat, proved in the ’08 presentation to be a triple crown success for this presenter of Christian themed events at sea.

Proving good news in the vacation/cruise industry can still come in threes despite gloomy economic forecasts of land bound gas prices causing American’s to re-think vacation plans, Premier cited groundbreaking successes with latest sailing of The Music Boat:

  • Premier sailed the Carnival luxury ship Fascination with a full passenger sell-out capacity of 2,500 cruise-goers, setting new records on pre-selling the cruise with a high water mark of 70% of the ‘08 voyage already booked by fall of 2007
  • The Music Boat ’08 proved to be the largest presentation yet of the cruise billed as “the perfect family friendly vacation.” In addition to a largest presentation yet of nightly concerts by more than a dozen top name Christian music artists and nationally known comedians and speakers, new this year was the addition of Indie Jam Showcase—a virtual American Idol competition at sea featuring top new Christian artists and bands as yet unsigned.
  • By the re-docking of the ship back in Miami from an itinerary that took passengers for a five day/four night sailing to port destinations of Key West and Calica, Mexico, onboard passengers had posted a record-setting 35% re-book of cabin space for the ’09 cruise.
  • “We feel that our commitment to Christian entertainment and a cruise event that goes beyond entertaining to provide inspiration and encouragement to the widest possible range of passengers—from couples and families, to singles, and church groups—is on a God inspired growth curve because of its’ ultimate uniqueness in the marketplace,” notes Roy Morgan.

Agrees Premier’s Gary Gentry: “We continue to be amazed at how God blesses this cruise. From the latest reports of one 73 year old lady who came to the Lord—to young people finding Christ on the Music Boat—we strive to provide an atmosphere where God can meet people wherever they are.”

Darrell Burrow, Premier Christian Cruises Director of Sales, sums up the uniqueness of The Music Boat as key to its continued sold-out history since first launching in ’05: “Christians everywhere are constantly searching for that perfect vacation. With this cruise, families and friends of all ages can enjoy a luxury all inclusive vacation, hear more great Christian music concerts in a week than they typically can all year—and all for an affordable price for the experience.”

More than 40 Christian radio stations and national networks were include in the marketing of The Music Boat ’08—bringing listeners the news they could cruise with an array of major artists that most recently included Casting Crowns and tobyMac.

Ahead for next year, The Music Boat is full steam ahead for a May 4-8, 2009 voyage aboard a Royal Caribbean fleet luxury ship scheduled to set sail from Port Canaveral, Florida to CocoCay and Nassau, Bahamas.

Interested passengers for The Music Boat '09 cruise are being encouraged to book their state rooms early according to Premier co-owner, John Sanders who notes: “Next year’s cruise promises to be the best yet, with more innovation, and a stop at a private island in the Bahamas." He adds: "Even though we are just back from the Music Boat, much like our passengers, we can’t wait until the next cruise!”
