Jacksonville, FL - Grammy nominee Beverly Crawford has been a respected voice in the
gospel music circuit for over 20 years. She’s shared the stage with such renowned gospel artists as Yolanda Adams, Vanessa Bell
Armstrong, and Bobby Jones. Crawford has been ac claimed in Ebony Magazine as “…a vocal powerhouse that is one of the truly great
voices of our times!” Crawford, however, hasn’t finished making additions to her list of accolades. Beverly Crawford was selected
by Truth Bible College in Jacksonville, FL, to receive an Honorary Doctorate in Theology on May 24, 2008, in honor of her
contribution to the gospel ministry.
Truth Bible College is committed to providing its students with theological education of the highest quality in order to equip them with the skills to proclaim the gospel worldwide. The board of directors at Truth Bible College carefully selects individuals to receive the honorary doctorate. The award is presented to individuals who excel in their field of expertise over an extended period of time. Truth’s mission has been an intrinsic part of Crawford’s own life since she delivered her first sermon at the age of 20, so it’s no surprise that she was selected to receive this honor from this esteemed institution. Crawford, having received this great tribute, now joins the ranks of such respected honorary alumni members of Truth Bible College as internationally acclaimed prophetess and songstress, Juanita Bynum and multi-millionaire business mogul Attorney Willie Gary. Other noted recipients of this distinction include Paul and Jan Crouch, founders of television’s largest Christian broadcasting network, TBN.
Beverly Crawford grew up in Florida and returned to her home state in 2006 to launch the Gainesville Family Life Center, the ministry she founded with her husband, Todd. Crawford has contributed endless efforts to preach the word of God across the world and she won’t stop now. Whether she’s preaching the gospel from a pulpit or ministering in song at the Stellar Awards, Crawford’s plans will always include uplifting her listeners and proclaiming the gospel.
