All four members of the GRAMMY-nominated rock band Pillar have become solid leaders and mentors in the Christian Rock genre. Rob Beckley, Noah Henson, Kalel and Lester Estelle all expanded this impact a bit further this week, by teaching classes at Camp Electric, in Nashville, Tenn., where the Dove Award-winning band also rocked a full-set for camp attendees on Tuesday night, July 1. Students of the guys in Pillar were privileged to insights about just what it takes to make it in the music industry, and received specific instruction on the role each member plays in the band. Mr. Beckley taught about being a lead vocalist. Mr. Henson spoke about rocking the guitar. Mr. Wittig shared his wisdom about playing bass. Mr. Estelle wowed his students (continuously) with his expertise behind the drums. Pillar’s current album, For the Love of the Game, is in stores now. Camp Electric, presented by Air 1 and K-LOVE, brings together Christian musicians and teaches them band dynamics, the art of leading worship and performance skills.
