Nic Gonzales, frontman of Word Records’ Dove Award-winning Latin/pop band Salvador, recently traveled to Honduras with his wife, Dove Award-winning recording artist Jaci Velasquez, to visit several sites supported by The Salvador Foundation. The couple is pictured in the village of Lemon with students from a school the foundation helped build. In addition to the school, The Salvador Foundation also assisted in the construction of a tortilla manufacturing facility that employs single mothers, as well as a nutrition clinic in the village.

Known for their show-stopping, improvisational live performances, Salvador’s latest album, Aware, released in April and has drawn accolades for its musical diversity and lyrical maturity. Produced by Gonzales and Salvador’s Chris Bevins, along with Otto Price (dcTalk, GRITS), Aware features 11 selections, including the album’s title-cut and debut single.
