(Seattle, WA) – SPIRIT 105.3 FM (KCMS) proudly announces SPIRIT Fest ’08 featuring
Jars of Clay and Leeland Sunday, August 24th at the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe.
For the past seven years, SPIRIT 105.3 has teamed up with the Evergreen State Fair to bring Contemporary Christian artists to the concert line-up. In its inaugural year, SPIRIT Fest ’08 will exclusively present the Contemporary Christian music event of the Evergreen State Fair. SPIRIT Fest ’08 will deliver favorite artists as well as introduce new rising stars.
Presenting artist, Jars of Clay, has been a familiar staple since the mid 1990’s with hits such as “Flood,” “Good Monsters” and “Dead Man.” Appealing to both Christian and mainstream audiences, the band has received three Grammys and multi-platinum certification.
Opening band, Leeland, has been described as passionate and progressive. Receiving a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album and four Dove Award nominations, Leeland is creating a buzz in the music industry. Leeland’s latest album Opposite Way combines the musical influences of Travis, Coldplay, David Gray and U2, while highlighting the bands songwriting maturity and growth.
