Nashville, Tenn. Sept. 25, 2008… INO Record’s 33Miles is celebrating a successful street week with their sophomore project One Life entering the Top Christian Soundscan Album Sales chart and the Christian Digital chart at No. 5, while debuting at No. 160 on the Billboard Top 200.
The Dove-nominated group has been visiting radio stations across the country in promotion of One Life including stops at K-LOVE and KLTY, while the record's first single "One Life To Love" is already a solid hit having reached No. 9 R&R AC-Indicator, No. 17 R&R AC-Monitored and No. 18 CRW-AC charts. On the Inspo/Soft AC charts, the single has hit #2 on CRW and #10 on R&R.
One Life is not only highly favored on the charts, but has also received its share of critical acclaim:
“The charm and polish of 33Miles' sophomore record are hard to resist… only a handful of artists convey those themes with as much magnetism as Jason Barton's heartfelt vocals. – All Music Guide
“POP MUSIC NEVER SOUNDED SO GOOD… the men of 33Miles have created an incredible second set… All comparisons aside, 33Miles is seriously good. One Life emits massive crossover appeal, and considering the wealth of musical enthusiasm the band showcases, 33Miles has music for many lifetimes to come.” – CCM magzine.com
“It gives fans of country pop and Christian music a balanced middle ground on which to stand, with just enough liveliness, balladry, quality musicianship, heartland sentimentality, and faith to keep both camps happy.” - Christianity Today
One Life was produced by a team of well-known producers including Nathan Nockels (Passion, Point of Grace, Phillips, Craig & Dean), Sam Mizell (Matthew West) and Brown Bannister (Amy Grant, MercyMe, Third Day). In addition to the single, One Life offers up beat tracks such as “When It All Comes Down” and “One of Those Days” as well as the transparent “Apologize” and a song inspired by the band’s partnership with Food for the Hungry titled “Little Bit of Love.”
After logging in over 120,000 miles (not including air travel), performing at over 200 churches, garnering radio hits and a Dove nomination for “New Artist of the Year,” 33Miles released their sophomore record One Life on Sept. 16. Since their debut in 2007, 33Miles’ Jason Barton (lead vocals), Chris Lockwood (guitar) and Collin Stoddard (keys) celebrated one of the highest-selling freshman albums of 2007 with their GMA Dove nominated project 33Miles. In addition, the band has made tremendous impact on the radio charts garnering three consecutive radio hits with “What Could Be Better,” “There Is A God” and “Thank You,” two of those hits breaking the Top 10.
