Showbread fans are familiar with frontman Josh Dies'
solo endeavors musically and literarily, and the band announced yesterday several projects the artist is working on for release
in the next year. Below is the announcement, but to keep up with the latest on Josh's pursuits, visit www.myspace.com/showbread...
"In January of 2009, Josh Dies (front-man/songwriter for Showbread and author of The Spinal Cord Perception will be embarking on his first national book reading/acoustic tour. The tour will celebrate the release of Dies' new children's book The Insect as well as the first printing of The Spinal Cord Perception in over a year, his upcoming sophomore novel Nevada coming later in 2009, and a brand new EP from his solo act DIES called Talons. All of these releases will be exclusive to this tour until later in 2009.At the shows, Josh will read from his written work (including pieces exclusive to the tour), engage in an open conversation and Q&A with the audience as well an acoustic set made up mostly of requests from the Showbread and DIES catalogue. The way it works is simple, there will be a special mail box set up where you'll write in, say what show you're coming to and what song you want to hear and the set list will be made from the requests.
There will also be all kinds of interactive fun, weirdness and surprises along the way; every night will be its own unique experience.
There will be many more updates in the coming weeks and months…
Thanks."
