November 10, 2008 (Nashville, TN) - Finding The Quiet, Jason Truby's third solo instrumental album since stepping away as guitarist and songwriter for the multi-platinum band P.O.D., is due out Nov. 25th. This will be an exclusive online release available only at iTunes and JasonTruby.com.
"Finding The Quiet is a collection of tunes I'd written over the past couple years for acoustic guitar that evolved through a personal process of decompression, a type of aid, as we attempt to turn off the volume of the world," Truby explains. "The acoustic guitar has warm timber and can sooth the mind and soul without a word being spoken."
"I enjoyed the simplicity of one guitar, one mic, and myself. The atmosphere really shines through when the music resonates as it was designed to do, without interference from over-production," he shares. "Many of these tunes were written to calm moments that are beyond control or to recall moments that bring joy. I hope this album helps listeners achieve both as we all continue Finding The Quiet."
His first two solo instrumental projects, String Theory and Waiting on the Wind, used multiple instruments, but with the peaceful Finding The Quiet, Truby used just one guitar.
In addition to his many accolades as a guitarist and songwriter, Truby continues to remain innovative by pushing the guitar into new areas of expression. He is continuing to work on his much-anticipated vocal album, slated to release early next year.
Samples from Finding The Quiet and the upcoming vocal project can be heard on myspace.com/jasontrubyguitar.
