VeggieTales characters and qubo favorites “Bob the Tomato” and “Larry the Cucumber,” recently joined Carrie Ellis, Director, Project Management for KaBOOM!(www.kaboom.org) as guests on NBC’s Weekend TODAY Show! Weekend TODAY meteorologist, Chris Cimino, interviewed Ellis as part of the show to discuss the partnership between qubo, the multi-platform children’s programming outlet (www.qubo.com,) and the national nonprofit organization KaBOOM! (www.kaboom.org) and its 67 “Playful City USA” communities.
The KaBOOM! “Playful City USA” initiative, which honors cities that have demonstrated a commitment to improving play within their communities, is the cornerstone of the partnership that will run through the end of 2009, underscoring qubo’s mission of promoting healthy lifestyles for children.
