Nashville, TN - March 11, 2009 - The four-piece worship rock band Seven Stories Up is ready to release Falling, their debut project with VSR Music Group/EMI-CMG Distribution. Hitting shelves May 19th, this Atlanta-based group is no stranger to touring as they continue to hit the road performing at churches, festivals and teen camps, and are more than eager to get the word out about Falling.
"There is a general theme throughout that makes the name Falling really make sense," states frontman Andy Rocker. "Falling is a statement which puts into words who we are as followers of Jesus and how we are going to take His Gospel to the nations and to the darkest places of the world that haven't yet even learned what it's like to say hallelujah."
"We are all really excited about these songs and we know God has a big plan to change lives through the message He has given us through this music," Rocker reveals. "Our prayer and hope is for His Word and Gospel to go forth into the world using these songs as a vessel and a catalyst to lead people to "fall" in love with Jesus Christ."
Illustrating some of the songs from Falling, Rocker shares, "'My King' and 'Hallelujah' are anthems shouting loud the name of Jesus Christ and declaring to the world that He is our King and that we have a reason to sing and be joyful!"
The song "Taking Over" was written about overcoming addictions that plague people all over the world, and yet the song rejoices in finding victory in overcoming the addiction.
Rocker conveys, "I'm on this journey with the guys in my band and we're trying to write songs and make music that can help people learn what it's like to express their love for Jesus, and for those who don't know who Jesus to help them get a better understanding of His grace in their lives."
Their worshipful and energetic first single to radio is "My King," is currently going for adds at AC, CHR stations nationwide.
Just added to their active touring schedule, Seven Stories Up is confirmed to perform at Rock the Universe in Orlando this September. Along with their regular touring dates, earlier this month the band appeared for the third time at the Winter Teen Retreat of Spring Hill Camp, a non-profit Christian camp and retreat ministry located in Evart, Michigan. With their energetic music and ministry being such an amazing impact on the teens, the band was asked to return again this spring and in the fall.
