Nashville, Tenn. (April 15, 2009) – On any given day, around 2pm, every mom wants the same thing: peace and quiet. EMI/CMG hopes to free moms and caregivers everywhere from life’s pesky, noisy chaos on April 21, 2009 with the release of two new, delightfully gentile recordings; Faith, Hope and Lullabies and Faith, Hope and Lullabies - Songs of Worship. The new series of lullaby recordings ushers in peaceful, soothing, instrumental arrangements of songs made popular by today’s top Christian artists as well as the most popular songs sung in churches today. Promising ‘Chaos To Calm In 10 Songs Or Less,’ Faith, Hope and Lullabies offers respite and relaxation without the familiar toy-sounding noisemakers, bells, and whistles found in many lullaby recordings, just simple restful melodies. Released as two separate recordings, Faith, Hope and Lullabies features instrumental arrangements of well-known Christian radio hits while the similarly titled “Songs Of Worship” edition features the most popular songs sung by millions in churches today.

Faith, Hope and Lullabies is truly a consumer-led project wherein a focus group of moms were consulted to help develop the product including artwork, packaging, song selection, and overall sound of the recordings themselves. Bryan Ward, product director explains, “The resounding feedback from the focus group was that most lullaby music is cheesy and after 15 minutes, most moms would turn it off. They want known songs that have meaning, are easy to sing to their children, and a sound that doesn’t get on their nerves after a few listens. Ideally, they wanted a product that calmed their children but also could be played over a cup of coffee during a rare, quiet moment for themselves.” With that in mind, producer Steve Ivey crafted music that would be a soundtrack for any mom’s day, whether preparing their child for sleep, driving in the car, or providing an ‘escape’ from the noise of the day.

The marketing campaign will be very targeted to moms and especially online where moms and caregivers live daily. Free downloads via banner ads and email campaigns on sites like www.momslikeme.com as well as over 100 mom blog-sites will be core to the campaign. Several widgets where the albums can be sampled have been developed and can be embedded on any website which will help spread the word virally with mom bloggers. Additionally, EMI/CMG is partnering with Animoto (www.animoto.com) to give consumers the opportunity to create their own slide shows played with companion music using the song "Here I Am To Worship." After creating a slide show, consumers can send it to friends and family or post it online. Retailers are also helping by playing the Faith, Hope, and Lullabies CD’s overhead for shoppers to sample. Family Christian Stores have partnered via email campaigns with free downloads to offer sampling of the product.

Over the last 20 years, EMI/CMG has released several very successful lullaby-based albums including “Sleep Sound In Jesus” (Michael Card), “Sing Over Me” (Various), & “Bedtime & Prayers” (Twila Paris); some of which have gone gold and platinum. Faith, Hope and Lullabies and Faith, Hope and Lullabies - Songs of Worship, are beautiful additions to the EMI/CMG library of music especially arranged for young growing families.
