(Nashville, TN) June 30, 2009 – Platinum-selling and Dove award-winning artists Mark Schultz and Point Of Grace will be hitting the road together for the first time ever on the 30-city “Come Alive” fall tour. Featuring the fan’s favorite songs spanning each artist’s celebrated career, Mark Schultz will also be playing new songs from his highly anticipated, fifth studio album, Come Alive (in stores Aug. 25), and Point Of Grace will be playing songs from its current, critically acclaimed, How You Live.

Launching Sept. 10 in Decatur, IL, the “Come Alive” entourage will travel across the nation hitting markets such as Nashville, Cleveland, Jacksonville, Worcester and many more. With tickets in select markets on sale this week, music fans are already responding, collectively purchasing tickets by the thousands.

“We sold so many tickets in the first two hours after tickets went on sale this morning that we had to open up a second concert!” exclaims Marion, IL promoter Ken Anderson, WBVN-FM (Marion, IL) program director, after tickets went on sale Friday. Anderson added a matinee performance in Marion Sept. 12 at the Marion Cultural and Civic Center.

“People were waiting outside the offices this morning when we came to work at 6:30!” continues Anderson. “We have produced over 125 events and I have never seen the kind of energy and excitement that Mark Schultz and Point Of Grace bring to our Civic Center…Extraordinary is the right word for what Mark brings to this community of believers time after time. With the addition of Point Of Grace, another favorite of our audience, this tour offers so much for people that attend that I think it’s a partnership unrivaled in all the concerts we have produced over the 20 years.”

“I am really excited to tour with the girls of Point Of Grace,” says Schultz. “They are as genuine off stage as they are on stage. I have been singing their songs ever since I was a youth director in Nashville and seen first hand how their message changes lives. I can’t wait for people to see the show!”

“We have talked about touring with Mark Schultz since he was a special guest for us years ago at a Girls of Grace Conference,” says Point Of Grace member Shelley Breen. “He’s such a great communicator and we are so excited to be a part of the ‘Come Alive’ tour. The girls and I are so ready to get back out on the road to share our new sound and music with our fans. They have stuck by us through so many changes in our lives, and we are ready to love them back! We can't wait to see everyone! I just hope Mark has a huge bus for all our luggage...”

One of Christian music’s most acclaimed singer/songwriters, Schultz’s first new studio album in nearly three years, Come Alive, is also his most personal recording to date, inviting listeners to “come alive” through these songs birthed by stories of hope, loss, joy and redemption. Pulling from real life experiences, the songs on Come Alive were inspired by families dealing with cancer, special needs and through Schultz ‘s coast-to-coast bicycle ride that raised over $250,000 to benefit the James Fund, which provides assistance for widows and orphans. Produced by Brown Bannister (Amy Grant, Third Day, CeCe Winans), Shaun Shankel (Beyoncé, Hilary Duff), Bernie Herms (Natalie Grant, Avalon) and Paul Mills (Third Day, Bluetree), the album also features collaborations with such hit making songwriters as Bart Millard and Barry Graul of Mercy Me, Matthew West, Joy Williams and Herms.

Lauded at No. 1 on Billboard’s “Hot Christian Adult Contemporary Songwriters” list and with nine No. 1 radio hits, Schultz’s celebrated career highlights include being the centerpiece of the U.S. Army campaign “Letters From War,” named Christian Music Today’s Male Vocalist in 2003, and featured on the national TV programs, 48 Hours, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, CNN and more. His 2005 release, Mark Schultz Live…A Night of Stories & Songs, sold RIAA certified Platinum and garnered Schultz his first GMA Dove Award. Point Of Grace’s groundbreaking success that began in the gospel market has recently seen their audience expand to the country music arena with the hit song, “How You Live (Turn Up the Music).” With airplay on country stations across the nation, the ballad is the centerpiece of Point Of Grace’s How You Live Deluxe Edition, an expanded version of its Dove Award-winning How You Live project. The Deluxe Edition includes the new songs “I Wish,” produced by Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift), and “King of the World,” written by prolific songwriter/artist, Cindy Morgan, who also penned “How You Live.” In addition to the new deluxe edition, Point Of Grace has been in the studio working with producer Brown Bannister on an upcoming Christmas project that will combine songs from their two previous holiday collections, 1999’s “A Christmas Story” and 2005’s “Winter Wonderland,” along with a new version of the classic “Tennessee Christmas.”

The readily identifiable sound of Point Of Grace has fueled one of the most successful careers in gospel music. Point Of Grace has sold more than eight million albums, won ten Dove Awards and received two GRAMMY nods. They’ve earned two platinum and five gold albums and have scored more than two dozen No. 1 hits at Christian radio, among them “Steady On,” “The Great Divide” and “Circle of Friends.” Point Of Grace has also garnered major national media exposure, including The View with Barbara Walters, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Time Magazine, CNN, Prime/Time Live, Ladies’ Home Journal, Billboard, VH-1, CBS This Morning and, ABC World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, among others.
