
(Nashville, Tennessee) – April 8, 2010 – Now in its’ third year as a top producer of major outdoor Christian events, Premier Festivals is continuing to underscore the strength of its’ brand in announcing a stellar line-up of spring through early fall productions featuring the biggest names in contemporary Christian and gospel music.
Among the forty-plus artists set to appear on Premier Festival’s 2010 stages are: Switchfoot, Third Day, TobyMac, Casting Crowns, Skillet MercyMe, Newsboys, David Crowder Band, Hawk Nelson, KJ-52, Fireflight, Tenth Avenue North, Brandon Heath. Family Force 5, FEE, Remedy Drive, The Afters, and Chris Tomlin, among others.
“Without doubt our projection is that this year will top 2009 and the incredible mark set of more than 100,000 concert-goers getting to hear the gospel message,” notes Richard Young, Director of Operations for Premier Festivals. “We’re blessed with a talent line-up in our 2010 presentations that is without doubt our strongest to date ” he added.
Included in this season’s schedule are nine major festival productions spotlighting major contemporary Christian artists. Two are three day events. Returning too, this year from Premier are four presentations of their highly well-received production of Joyfest, featuring top name artists in black/urban gospel. Grammy winning artist Fred Hammond, Donald Lawrence, J Moss, Bone Hampton, Canton Jones, and Sinbad are among the artists set for this year's Joyfest stage.
Premier Festivals is staging their major 2010 presentations at seven of North America’s top amusement/outdoor parks within the Cedar Fair Entertainment family of properties. One of the largest amusement park operators in the world, Cedar Fair’s locations coast-to-coast and in Canada have the highest caliber reputation as ‘must see’ amusement park destinations with a strong emphasis on family-oriented live entertainment.
