NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Music industry veterans Pam Browne and Tamara Alan have announced the launch of FUNL Music, a full-service marketing, distribution, artist development, and support company. FUNL will provide independent artists with the resources they need to compete in an ever-changing music industry landscape. The company recently inked an exclusive global distribution agreement with The Orchard, a global leader in music and video distribution and comprehensive digital strategy, and plans to release their first project, from multi-platinum country recording artist Ty Herndon, on June 8, 2010.

"Our goal is to provide a new, innovative opportunity to independent artists," said FUNL CEO Pam Browne. "The music industry is in a state of constant change, and we believe that we're uniquely positioned to provide a range of services that have previously been unavailable to many independent artists."

Prior to the launch of FUNL, Browne, a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School, managed several multiplatinum groups in addition to her work as an NFL agent. She has also served as the Dean of the renowned Mike Curb Music Business Program at Belmont University. Joining Browne is FUNL President, Tamara Alan. Following her education at Pepperdine University School of Law, Alan discovered, developed, and managed a variety of country, rock and contemporary Christian artists, including 2005's Dove Award-winning "New Artist of the Year." Additionally, Alan has represented some of Nashville's biggest songwriters.

In addition, Nashville entertainment attorney Nancy Eckert will serve as FUNL's Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs, while music industry veteran Ronn Tabb joins FUNL as Vice President of Marketing. Eckert is an entertainment and corporate attorney with more than 14 years of legal experience. Her representative list of clients includes independent record labels, publishing companies, and a wide range of companies and businesses in the entertainment industry. Tabb's experience extends well over a decade and across many genres of music. He most recently held the position of Vice President of Marketing at Warner Bros./Word Records and has been instrumental in marketing projects for multiplatinum artists, such as Amy Grant, Randy Travis, and P.O.D.

FUNL is set to release their first project, from multiplatinum country recording artist Ty Herndon on June 8, 2010, followed by a release from promising country newcomer, Amber Hayes. Herndon, a household name for country music fans, has charted a total of 17 radio singles on Billboard magazine's "Hot Country Songs" chart, including three #1 songs: "What Mattered Most," "Living in a Moment," and "It Must Be Love." His other Top Ten hits include, "I Want My Goodbye Back," "Loved Too Much," "A Man Holding On (To a Woman Letting Go)," and "Hands of a Working Man."
