In the wee hours of the morning (at least, on the East Coast) Hawaiian pop punk act Olivia The Band posted an update for fans to reassure them that they haven't broken up. Since debuting on Essential Records five years ago and then returning to the independent circuit, the band has released a project on their own and then on Syntax Records, but haven't been all that active since then, causing fans to wonder what's up. Below is the band's announcement...

Is Olivia broken up???

"Hey guys!!!!

How you been?? We're doing really well over here in the islands. As far as being broken up goes, DEFINITELY NOT!!! We just are forced to do this horrible thing everyday that we've been able to avoid for so long called WORK :( Gotta support the families God has blessed us with, so we aren't to practice and play shows like before. Until we actually post it up on this myspace that we are officially done you have nothing to worry about. Just keep checking back to see when playing in a town near you. I'm not gonna lie, you may have to come to Hawaii to ever see another Olivia show, unless somebody wants to fly us out. You really never know!! Thanks for keeping up with us!!! Thanks for always loving and supporting us!!!
