Los Angeles, CA - Tuesday, August 24, 2010 - Prepare to do battle with Zombies today, Tuesday, August 24, 2010, as today is the day that The Devil Wears Prada's conceptual Zombie EP is released. TDWP has been getting stellar reviews for Zombie EP, and the EP has just become the biggest pre-order item ever for MerchNow, the band's online fulfillment center.

As Decoy Music wrote in its Zombie EP review, "TDWP took the concept of zombies and made an epic metalcore EP about it...this makes you want more from this band.""This record is brutal," said About.com's Punk reviewer. "...the metal-influenced riffs are sweeping and strong, but there's an assaulting nature that carries with it the darkness of living a day-to-day existence and heavily involves smashing the skulls of your newly undead relatives."

According to TDWP's Mike Hranica, Zombie EP "is sinister and bad-ass. The whole thing is just completely based upon zombies. Last fall, I was on a real zombie kick, I read 'The Zombie Survival Guide' by Max Brooks, and I thought, 'what if we made a zombie song?' All it took was me just saying that to the band, and we had our hearts set on doing this EP."

Zombie EP is an extremely heavy record that includes songs such as "Survivor" that follows the plight of a man who loses his beloved to the undead and ultimately, in surviving the zombie plague, spends his days warding off the brain-starved and loneliness. The story continues to unfold with the tracks "Outnumbered," "Escape," "Revive," and "Anatomy."

As HM/The Hard Music Magazine put it, "This will gain TDWP more appreciation than any previous release...it's as catchy as any set of metal riffs can be."

Earlier this week while in New York for two sold-out shows, the band visited the Marvel Comics headquarters and got a personal tour of the facilities by Ryan Penagos, Marvel.com's editor.
