Skillet (Nashville, TN) – Rockers Skillet and Papa Roach have announced plans to join forces and destroy crowds across the US with their Monsters of Annihilation tour beginning October 1st in Myrtle Beach, SC at The House of Blues. Armed with their RIAA gold-certified AWAKE album which features two Active Rock and Christian Rock radio hits with "Monster" and "Hero,” Skillet will be joined by Papa Roach who has a current Top 10 Active Rock smash “Kick in the Teeth” from their upcoming album, Time For Annihilation…On the Record and on the Road (August 31st via Eleven Seven Music). For a complete list of tour dates, please see below.

Skillet’s John Cooper says, “The first time we played with Papa Roach, I told the band we have to tour with these guys because they have an amazing live show! Jacoby is one of the best front men I’ve seen in years and I’m honored to share the stage with him. This tour is going to rock!!”

"We've become good friends with Skillet over the past couple years and are excited to jump on the road with them. Having both Papa Roach and Skillet together on one stage, you best believe we're going to burn it down!!! Get ready for total stage annihilation," adds Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix.

Skillet's most recent release, AWAKE made a blockbuster debut at #2 on the Billboard 200, has since been certified gold and achieved a TOP 5 Active Rock and No. 2 Christian Rock hit with "Monster" and Top 15 Active Rock as well No. 1 CHR & Christian Rock smash with "HERO." Various tracks from AWAKE have received major TV placements including NBC Sunday Night Football, NBC's "The 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania” and MTV's “Bully Beatdown.” As one of the hardest working live acts, their solo tours ranked within Pollstar’s Concert Pulse Top 50 Tours and landed the band on the cover of the magazine. Skillet has spent the last year on the road with Creed, Shinedown, various headline festival appearances and the "Awake & Alive" co-headline tour with TobyMac. The band has racked up an array of achievements since they first formed in 1996, including two BMI Music Awards, multiple Grammy ® nominations, RIAA gold certification for Comatose and cumulative sales approaching 2 million.
