Nashville, TN - December 3, 2010 – Dave Barnes' holiday CD, Very Merry Christmas, continues to receive major acclaim since it released less than a month ago. Last week was a huge success when Barnes' offered his song "Very Merry Christmas" as iTunes' free Discovery Download. He continues to spread the holiday cheer as Very Merry Christmas is now available at Amazon for only $5 through Christmas. To download your copy, click here now.

Additionally, Barnes' single "Christmas Tonight" made its debut on R&R's Mainstream AC chart, hitting at No. 29. Five other Barnes' holiday tracks picked up significant adds at Christian AC radio last week.

As previously reported, "Christmas Tonight" features guest vocals from Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott and its accompanying music video stars actress Jennifer Love Hewitt. The video has obtained much attention since it posted on Barnes' YouTube page, appearing on Variety's website, Perez Hilton, Huffington Post's entertainment front page and OK! Magazine's website. In addition, "Christmas Tonight" was just added to rotation on CMT, CMT Pure and CMT online.

This week Barnes, joined by opener Drew Holcomb, kicked off the Very Merry Neighborly Christmas Tour in North Carolina to sold out crowds, with this weekend's shows sold out as well. The tour has partnered with Mocha Club (Mochaclub.org) and their Clean Water project area to help fund the building of wells in the Sudan for refugess of the Darfur genocide.
