The video went viral March of 2010 and as a result of its immense fan base, Whittaker and his family were featured on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” CBS’ “The Early Show,” NBC’s “ The Today Show,” AOL, CNN, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” among many other international media outlets.

Currently, over 5 million people have viewed the clip titled “Single Ladies Devastation” in which Carlos’s son has an emotional “breakdown” reacting to his dad’s comments about him not being a “single lady,” while singing to Beyonce’s song “Single Ladies.” When it initially went viral, the video quickly received over 1 million hits in less than 4 days and can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sb9eL3ejXmE

Whittaker has since used the video’s international fame as a platform to raise awareness on the issue of adoption. His son and star of the video, Losiah, now four years old, was adopted from South Korea in 2006. Adoption is a topic that is very important to Whittaker and his family, and he hopes to encourage others to adopt and bring awareness to the issue.
