Nashville, TN… Jan. 20, 2011…After leading worship in front of over 22,000 devoted college students at Passion 2011 earlier this month, last week the newest member of sixstepsrecords, Kristian Stanfill released his sophomore album Mountains Move selling over 6,000 copies and charting at No. 3 on the Contemporary Christian SoundScan chart and No. 2 on the Current Christian/Gospel Digital Albums chart.
Having introduced music listeners to Mountains Move back in September with his five song EP titled Day After Day, Stanfill’s latest project is captivating critics across the board shown in the quotes below:
"From the successful aftermath of his trademark song "Say,Say", Kristian Stanfill storms out with a beautiful sophomore project.Mountains Move ticks the box as one inspirational worship music everyone could do with." -Seattle Post Intelligencer
"Lord Almighty" and "Day After Day" are both great worship songs that I can imagine singing with fellow believers. If you like Fee, Charlie Hall, Chris Tomlin and Tim Hughes, you'll enjoy Kristian Stanfill.”-NewReleaseTuesday.com
"One of Kristian’s identifying attributes communicated clearly through his music is his profound passion to worship. He brings a reverence that is both rewarding to listen to and refreshing to worship with. His musical chops fall into the same genre as Tomlin and Fee."- On Course Magazine
“According to the graciously burgeoning songwriter, this worshipful collection centers on "believing that God is who he says he is" despite our circumstances. Stanfill accomplishes this brilliantly and cranks out songs that possess a distinctive solidarity: they all emphasize the unwavering nature and character of God”-Crosswalk.com
“Filled with sweeping verses, and sweeping anthemic choruses, the man knows how to pen a powerful tune. If you picked up is self-titled EP a few months ago, you would have already heard the first three songs off of this one….and you have not heard the best of Mr. Stanfill yet.”- HollywoodJesus.com
“Day After Day,” the first single from Mountains Move is resonating with listeners as well, as the song is continuing to rise on the radio charts currently at No. 21 on the National Christian Audience Chart and No. 28 on AC Indicator. In addition, the song is being spun over 13 major stations across the country as well hundreds more via the K-LOVE network.
This spring, Stanfill has a full tour schedule, for which new dates will be announced soon. To see if the worship leader is coming to a city near you and for more information on Stanfill, please visit www.kristianstanfill.com.
