NASHVILLE, TN (March 15, 2011) – The second round of appearances was announced today for the upcoming GMA Dove Awards, hosted by TV personality and comedienne Sherri Shepherd. The legendary Kenny Rogers, multi-award-winning Point of Grace, The a cappella TV sensation Committed, multi-nominated Ernie Haase and Signature Sound, Female Vocalist of the Year nominee Britt Nicole and first time nominee LeCrae are the second group of artists to be announced for Gospel Music’s biggest night of the year. The 42nd Annual GMA Dove Awards are being held Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Atlanta, GA's historic Fox Theatre. The awards show will be televised on GMC, America's favorite network for uplifting music and entertainment, on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. ET.

The GMA Dove Awards, Gospel music’s biggest night of the year, will feature artists from every style of Gospel/Christian music coming together for an exciting evening of music and celebration.

Dove Awards will be handed out in 43 categories. The Dove Awards nominations go to recordings released during the eligibility year from November 1, 2009 through October 31, 2010 and voted on by the members of the GMA. The complete list of nominations is available at www.gospelmusic.org. These artists join the previously announced artists Francesca Battistelli, Jason Crabb, Natalie Grant, Mary Mary, comedienne Chonda Pierce, Marvin Sapp and Chris Tomlin on the awards show. More exciting appearances will be announced soon.

Tickets to the 42nd Annual GMA Dove Awards are now on sale at the Fox Theatre box office in Atlanta or at www.ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices range from $25.00 - $200.00. The phone number for Ticketmaster is (800) 745-3000.

Fans can now vote for the Dove Awards’ top honors in the “Artist of the Year,” and “New Artist of the Year” at www.watchgmctv.com. The cumulative fan vote will account for one-third of the total vote count in each of the two categories.
