(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) Sept. 8, 2011--Former Inpop Records President and Co-Founder Dale Bray announces the launch of Platinum Pop Entertainment, a management firm for both contemporary Christian and mainstream music artists. Additionally, the firm will oversee Bray’s publishing company, 21 Songs.
Since finalizing the sale of Inpop Records and stepping down as president in May 2010, Bray has been focusing on developing 21 Songs and his management strategy for current clients Superchick, Abandon, and new artist Mike Mains and the Branches. The latter is currently signing a label deal to be announced shortly.
“Platinum Pop will be more than a management company as we continue to build our extensive publishing catalogue and look at unique opportunities,” says Bray. “We want to integrate management into the many aspects of music entertainment, including production, publishing and touring. We will also partner with other like-minded firms as we do with Superchick, whom we co-manage with Fuel Music Management.”
Bray, who began his music business career in 1987 as the Australian distributor for Sparrow Records, will continue to oversee his Australian company that now represents all of EMI CMG, Provident Music Group, David C Cook (Integrity) and VeggieTales.
“Our network of Australian associations, publishing companies, and now the management firm will work together nicely as the industry becomes more streamlined. The relationships we have developed the last 25 years give our artists a head start in this competitive business,” says Bray.
Platinum Pop is based in Franklin, Tenn., the home of Bray and his family since 2005.
