
Maybe ska isn't quite dead after all. With the recent resurface of Five Iron Frenzy, which saw an overwhelming response from fans, The O.C. Supertones revealed this morning that the recording of some new music is underway. Frontman Matt "Mojo" Morginsky posted a video on the O.C. Supertones Facebook page that showed him providing some synths for a vocal track he had recently recorded. Matt's caption for the video reads "Me in my home studio working on a new song for the tones. the first video of many so I don't feel so lonely in my digital age independence." and tagged fellow members Jason Carson, Jesse Craig, Tony Terusa, Nathan Spencer, and Darren Mettler with the video. The rumor mill has been stirring about just how much new music will be produced, but until concrete details are released, you can expect to see the band at some summer festivals next year. Joshua Fest in Plymouth, CA are even showcasing a co-headlining evening with Five Iron and Supertones (www.joshuafest.com) next August. Be on the look out for more from these bands!
