
Nashville, TN January 24, 2012 - IMMERSE, the Gospel Music Association's Music Training Experience, is pleased to announce the first confirmed artists for the July conference. Those set to appear include Grammy® and Dove Award winner Michael W. Smith, Dove Award winner Chris August, and popular indie-minded artist, Derek Webb, Additional announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
On Sunday, July 22, Michael W. Smith welcomes registrants in an evening worship service featuring yet to be named special guest artists and industry professionals. This event will prove to be an unforgettable night for attendees dedicated to song, inspiration, focus and prayer.
Monday evening, July 23, an eclectic collection of artists will be performing in a special event exclusively for IMMERSE attendees. Chris August, Derek Webb and Remedy Drive will all be featured, performing favorite songs and sharing wisdom and road stories. Additional artists are pending. This intimate Monday night concert is always a favorite for attendees.
IMMERSE will be held at Rocketown in downtown Nashville. Founded by Michael W. Smith, Rocketown will give attendees a perfect environment for learning, production, performance and fellowship.
Now in its fourth year, IMMERSE offers a unique, hands on experience for up and coming indie artists, songwriters and future business leaders. With competitions for vocalists, singer/songwriters, bands and songwriters, concerts, networking events, and over 100 featured speakers and teachers, IMMERSE boasts unparalleled training, intimate concerts, professional feedback and individual opportunities to connect with music experts, IMMERSE truly gives a holistic music business experience.
