
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 15, 2012) - Legendary recording artist and world-renowned guitar maestro Phil Keaggy has released The Cover of Love through Strobie Records today. The new CD features a collection of love songs by Keaggy's favorite artists, including The Beach Boys, Paul McCartney, Elvis Presley and the Moody Blues, as well as a number of new songs co-written by Keaggy.
"This album is a collection of songs that I've enjoyed listening to across the years, as well as songs I've written or co-written," Keaggy says of The Cover of Love. "I really wanted to make these available to my friends."
The CD features Keaggy's interpretations of "Between Wyomings" by Ken Mansfield, "Good Vibrations" by The Beach Boys, Paul McCartney's "Somedays" and "Motor of Love," Elvis Presley's "I Want You, I Need You, I Love You" and "Voices In the Sky" by the Moody Blues. Keaggy has also contributed a number of new songs, including "My Auburn Lady," and "What Matters Most," "Grow With Me," co-written with Michael Lewis, and "Where The Morning Dawns," which he co-wrote with Mike Rodovsky. Keaggy and his daughter, Olivia Keaggy, co-wrote "Where Are You Love," which also features Olivia on vocals.
