2012 has been a very busy year for Bryce Avary the singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist known as The Rocket Summer. A year which included self releasing the highly acclaimed full length album Life Will Write The Words, debuting 4 music videos from the album, headlining two successful tours across the US, touring New Zealand for the first time, and supporting Switchfoot across the US and Canada. To wrap up the busy and personally historic year, The Rocket Summer will give fans new music to enjoy well into 2013.

AVARY's latest album LIFE WILL WRITE THE WORDS was released June 5, 2012 and debuted #58 on the Billboard Top 200 albums chart with nearly 8,000 copies sold in the first week. In a 4 out of 5 stars review in Alternative Press, Annie Zaleski raved that the new album "…boasts some of Avary's most concise songwriting to date…a self confident, unfettered vibe that's invigorating...Avary hasn't lost the earnest energy of his early work, he channels this enthusiasm with maturity and finesse…the album embodies everything which makes the Rocket Summer so great-whether it's the gorgeous, acoustic 'Soldier'; the brisk, jazzy piano-pop shimmy of 'The Rescuing Type'; the finger-snapping, Ben Folds-like 'Circa 46'; and the nostalgic, classic-rock chug of 'Just For A Moment Forgot Who You Are (June 2012).'" As with all previous albums from THE ROCKET SUMMER, AVARY wrote and performed every note on LIFE WILL WRITE THE WORDS. Between sellout acoustic tour dates in the U.S. and numerous headlining and festival touring abroad, 2011 saw AVARY experimenting with numerous new sounds in the studio, including mandolin, banjo, trash cans and even a typewriter. His songwriting likewise stretched to a broader scope, examining the human existence with the advantage of both a strikingly personal eye experience and the experiential outlook of writers many years older. The result is a 12-track multi-dimensional collection that further establishes AVARY as a modern-day Renaissance man with the engaging outlook embodied in the album's title LIFE WILL WRITE THE WORDS.
