Before sites like Kickstarter and IndieGoGo surfaced, fan-funded projects were rare, but legendary Christian metal band Bride utilized this concept back in 2009 to fund their album Tsar Bomba. While the past couple albums have been deemed their "final album" until plans for the next one were announced, Bride's founders, the Thompson brothers Dale and Troy, have been teasing plans of another new record since Tsar Bomba's release. Now they're officially planning to record in May and have started collecting preorders to help fund the project. Check out their announcement below...
Bride is currently working on material for another CD to be release in 2013. The title for the new CD is Incorruptible. Once again we are hoping for the support of our fans to help us finance this recording. If you choose to help out, you will receive a copy of the CD when it has been finished. You will also receive updates as to the recording process as well as footage of the band rehearsing and recording. We will even post rough mixes of songs on the site at an unpublished URL.
