Nashville, Tenn. (June 13, 2013) - To commemorate the past decade of service and dedication to orphan care, Show Hope recently celebrated its 10 Year Anniversary in Nashville, Tenn. during Memorial Day weekend. Families from around the nation came together for the two-day event to celebrate the thousands of lives that have been transformed. Many of the attendees came with their adoptive children to thank the organization, which has helped more than 4,000 children through adoption grants in order to provide them with forever families.

"It was really amazing to see so many beautiful, happy children running around throughout the weekend events," shares Scott Hasenbalg, Executive Director of Show Hope. "It was humbling to think that we got to play a small part in their lives. To think what the reality would be for these children if they hadn't been adopted is hard to fathom, but we are overwhelmed by the hope and joy we got to experience through their smiles."

The anniversary weekend kicked off with an open house at Show Hope's offices in Franklin, Tenn. on Saturday evening, May 25. Staff from the organization, as well as 500 well-wishers, attended to show their gratitude for the organization that has been helping find forever homes for children for more than 10 years.

Festivities on Sunday, May 26 featured a family-friendly atmosphere where hundreds of children took part in games and face painting, while parents engaged in fellowship and food over a picnic lunch on the grounds of Nashville's Lipscomb University.

Show Hope's 10 Year Anniversary concert was the grand culmination of the congratulatory weekend. The Sunday evening event, which drew a packed house of over 3,200 attendees, was hosted by Show Hope Founders, Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman. The concert highlighted music from award-winning artists including Audio Adrenaline, Casting Crowns, Andrew Peterson, Geoff Moore and Laura Story as well as a special performance from Chapman himself who shared some of his chart-topping songs such as "Cinderella" and "When Love Takes You In."

Thousands more supporters of Show Hope from more than 80 different countries around the world tuned-in to watch the special concert event live via webcast. Hosted by award-winning artist Geoff Moore, viewers experienced first-hand the powerful evening of music and testimonies of grant families whose lives have been transformed through adoption.

Through the event, Show Hope was able to highlight a few specific families and their stories. One of these families had brought home a child from Show Hope's Special Care Center called Maria's Big House of Hope (MBHOH), located in Luoyang, China, which is the flagship care center. Serving as the hub through which Show Hope provides a loving atmosphere and wide-ranging medical care for children in China, MBHOH offers physician oversight and surgeries to orphans locally. Throughout the night families were able to share their experiences of bringing home their children from the Special Care Center and others countries around the world including the U.S.

Celebrating their recent partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation and wrapping the weekend festivities, Show Hope surprised a family on stage by presenting them with an adoption aid grant to help bring their daughter home from China. Casting vision for the future, Chapman shared about the 10,000 campaign through which Show Hope plans to help transform the lives of 10,000 waiting children over the next 10 years through the work of monthly sponsors.

Show Hope's mission is to continue aiding families by providing grants, among other resources, to help families connect with orphans and children across the world seeking forever homes. For more information about Show Hope, please visit www.showhope.org.
