Kansas City, MO (September 13, 2013) ----- Worship leader, Jon Thurlow, is scheduled to release his new album, Stand In Awe, on October 22, 2103. Even though Thurlow has recorded six independent projects throughout his career, this is the debut project for Forerunner Music. Stand In Awe features eleven songs that were written or co-written by Thurlow and were recorded live at Forerunner Christian Fellowship on the campus of the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO (IHOPKC), where Thurlow serves as a staff worship leader. The project will be available at all Christian retail stores and online at digital music outlets through New Day Distribution.

"The goal of this album is really just to create an on-ramp for people to connect with Jesus," says Thurlow. "I appreciate catchy songs and good music, but at the end of the day, I want this collection of songs to help people's hearts draw closer to the Lord." Stand In Awe gives the listener the experience of a live worship service and a collection of songs that will draw hearts closer to the Lord, while giving Him the praise He rightly deserves. The album launches with an up-tempo declaration to the glory of God, "Who Is Like You," and further into the project "Take Your Place," is an anthem that echoes Psalm 63 as a cry for the satisfaction that only God can bring. The title track is a powerful ballad that is a love song for God extolling His awesome glory. Stand In Awe features the first new original music album from Thurlow in over a year to the delight of his fanbase that has built up over the years.

About Jon Thurlow
Jon Thurlow was raised in Colorado Springs, CO where he began leading worship at seventeen, six years before coming to IHOPKC. He first visited IHOPKC in 2004 to attend Fire in the Night, a three-month nightwatch internship. Following the internship, Thurlow joined an IHOPKC daytime worship team, and is now a primary worship leader at IHOPKC where he leads a team of singers and musicians in six two-hour sessions per week in the 24/7 Prayer Room. As an independent artist, Thurlow has released six albums since 2006 and Stand In Awe marks his debut project after signing with Forerunner Music. Jon Thurlow and his wife Kinsey live in Kansas City, MO where they both serve on staff at IHOPKC.
