(NASHVILLE, Tennessee) -- After a ten year absence, award-winning singer-songwriter and radio and television personality Gary Chapman made a triumphant return to music in November with the release of his latest album, The Truth (Merf Music Group). While most artists would be content to relax and enjoy the critical acclaim, Chapman is gearing up for much, much more in 2014.
Today at 5:00 p.m. EST, Chapman will co-host SIRIUS XM's Blue Collar Radio, the official radio home of the Blue Collar Comedy brand (available nationwide on SIRIUS and XM at channel 97). Loyal listeners are becoming accustomed to Chapman's presence, as this is his fourth time in the co-hosting chair this month.
But 2014 will also find Chapman returning to television. Alongside his wife Cassie, Chapman is a cast member of TNT's upcoming reality series, Private Lives of Nashville Wives. The show premieres on February 24th at 10:00 p.m. EST.
Chapman's long-anticipated studio album, The Truth, features 16 tracks and guest appearances by Alison Krauss, John Rich, Tanya Tucker and Rebecca Lynn Howard along with Chapman's wife, Cassie, and his daughter, Sarah.
In recent months, Chapman has been busy promoting the album, with television and radio appearances from coast to coast, including the Mike Huckabee Show, Bill Martinez Live, The Curtis Report, Drew Marshall Show, On Air with Tony Sweet, CCM Classic, Full Circle, Bold Living, Parent Talk, Christian Connections, On Faith's Edge, Nashville's famed WSM Radio, JCTV's Real Videos, CTN's Bridges and Homekeepers, RFD-TV's Larry's Country Diner and more. In addition, he continues to perform live, including a stop earlier this month at the prestigious Bluebird Café in Nashville. Following tonight's co-hosting appearance on Blue Collar Radio, Chapman will head over to Nashville's Hard Rock Café to perform live as part of the popular Rushlow in the Round concert series. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $10 at the door.
For well over three decades, Chapman has seamlessly blurred the lines of contemporary Christian pop, country and southern gospel, racking up an impressive list of Dove Awards, GRAMMY nominations and writing credits for legendary artists such as Kenny Rogers, Alabama and Wynonna. Chapman is also widely remembered as the host of TNN's popular Prime Time Country television series and the Sam's Place concert series and radio program.
