[Los Angeles, CA] April 24, 2014 - Deitrick Haddon, pastor and lead, of gospel choir LXW (League of Extraordinary Worshippers) is about to release his long awaited album. The 3-time Grammy nominee is already claiming victory for his new album dropping this week. The LXW project is an amazing project that has brought together 150 voices in LA. Their debut album features a list of 'Who's Who' in the current choir music sub-genre including Hezekiah Walker, Donald Lawrence, Ricky Dillard as well as a new generation of Gospel superstars (Jessica Reedy). By creating music for youth choirs, LXW is "resurrecting the youth choir movement". This project truly offers music that choirs across the country can sink their teeth into and actually sing. It leaves opportunities for choirs to showcase the hard-to-duplicate vocal calisthenics that crowds for centuries have come to love. Sopranos, altos, tenors can shine separately and together on each track.

Deitrick Haddon blessed us with his new choir earlier this year, as the opener of the "Celebration of Gospel" on BET. He was listed in the show's highlights and talked about for days after the Celebration of Gospel aired. Audiences tuned in to the Oxygen Network this past Friday, Good Friday, to witness how extremely talented he was with his choir LXW. Audience's souls were refueled and people were left asking why anyone else hadn't thought of it sooner. Choirs around the world have been provided with new songs to sing in their church choirs, by this musical genius.

Deitrick Haddon remembers a time when choirs had a stronger presence in the African-American church. "Every fifth Sunday", he says, "was youth Sunday". Young people had a platform, and they had music that was made specifically for them. I want to bring that back." He has done just that with the album being released today, April 22. With songs like "Great God" listeners cannot go wrong. "Great God" is about the awesomeness of God, and how He is able to do anything. The well balanced project features a good amount of high-energy songs like "He Keeps on Blessing Me" and "God Stepped In" as well as moving ballads that showcase those unique power notes that only choirs can deliver like "Tis So Sweet". Haddon includes a couple of spoken word pieces like "Xtraordinary" and "Sweet".

About Deitrick Haddon and LXW:
Deitrick Haddon, famously known for his role in "The Preachers of LA" on Oxygen, recalls being called to spread the gospel at 10 years old. As a pastor, singer, and actor, Deitrick Haddon is a force for change. Deitrick Haddon, known for pushing the envelope in Gospel has made a name for himself producing and singing music with an urban, contemporary edge to it. Some may see him as an unlikely source re-introducing the choir sound. Yet, Haddon has revealed time and time again, his love for choir music. This is the music that gave him his first big break. This is also the music that he loves, and helped him through a recent dark period in his life. Always the innovative thinker, Haddon decided to go back-to-basics and combine his cutting-edge style with the classic sound to form. Deitrick Haddon's LXW (League of Xtraordinary Worshippers).

LXW is a high energy, vibrant young adult choir comprised of sopranos, altos and tenors from Southern California. The 100-member strong choir has been brought together usher in the return of the Choir Sound with a style and sound that is undeniable. LXW is a refreshing and exciting addition to the continuing story that is Gospel Music.
