New music from former Sparrow Records artist Audrey Assad is coming Tuesday May, 20th with the release of her new EP, Death, Be Not Proud. A small collection of songs about resurrection and hope, the EP was inspired by the John Donne quote: "Death, be not proud, though some have called thee mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so."
Audrey shares, "This poem from which I quote has steadied my heart for many years, especially when I have brushed up against the reality of death or darkness." She hopes the EP will serve as a gift, "to anyone in need of a reminder that, as Donne so beautifully writes, 'death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die.'"
Preview the songs and pre-order the EP on iTunes now.
Also, sheet Music for her album Fortunate Fall is now available in Audrey's online merch store. Only 100 copies of this printed songbook, which includes chords, lyrics and melodies, are in stock.
