Bethel Music, the worship ministry of Redding, CA-based Bethel Church, gathered thousands from nearly every state in the US, as well as from at least 30 countries around the world for its inaugural Heaven Come Conference held last week in Los Angeles. Set to be an annual event, Bethel Music announces that the second annual Heaven Come Conference will return to Microsoft Theater September 21-23, 2017. Registrations for this event featuring the church's senior leadership team, Bethel Music Artist Collective (currently 17 artists) and special guests, including speaker Carl Lentz and others to be announced later, are available now at https://bethelmusic.com/heaven-come-2017/.
Hosting "Worship Nights" with capacity crowds in major market venues around the world, Bethel Music's first conference, which was exclusively broadcast live on the Daystar Television Network and is viewable on demand now, became an opportunity for those gathering to delve deeper into the topic of understanding "on earth as it is in Heaven," which is from Jesus' famous prayer in Matthew chapter 6. A cornerstone in the Bethel Church community has been the pursuit and experience of what the last phrase of this quoted prayer truly means.
"I pray that everyone would leave Heaven Come Conference with a decision to choose Christ and a deeper level of surrender, a surrender that takes every ounce of guts we have," said Bethel Music's Brian Johnson during the conference. "We may have the lights, the videos, the music, but the bottom line is, if people don't leave this place fully surrendered, then none of this matters. Worship is just a passing idea to someone until they are put through the fire. Nothing can stand against a Church who worships, who realizes the power of worship."
Johnson along with his wife Jenn, who are Bethel Church's Sr. Worship Pastors, are also part of the Bethel Music Artist Collective that led worship at the Heaven Come Conference. This collective includes Jeremy Riddle, Steffany Gretzinger, Amanda Cook, Jonathan David and Melissa Helser, Matt Stinton, Hunter Thompson, Paul and Hannah McClure, Kalley Heiligenthal, Josh Baldwin, Leeland, Cory Asbury and Kristene DiMarco. The conference also featured internationally recognized worship leaders Darlene Zschech and Kari Jobe, as well as Bethel Music Kids.
The Johnsons also spoke at the conference along with Bethel Church leaders Kris Vallotton, Eric Johnson, Dawna De Silva and Ben Armstrong. The conference further featured special guest speakers Christine Caine, Havilah Cunnington and Bishop Joseph Garlington.
The Heaven Come Conference was a unique opportunity for those gathering to experience what the 8,000 attendees of Bethel Church's six weekly services in their 1,500-seat Redding location, along with the 350,000-plus people who subscribe to the online stream of the services at www.ibethel.tv, experience on a weekly basis.
