One of the hardest working artists in hip hop has been busy working on new music. KJ-52 announced today that his next studio project is shaping up to be a PledgeMusic-driven indie release, tentatively titled Jonah, after his real first name.
KJ wrote, "In the next few weeks, I will be bringing you guys up to speed on what's been going on in my life... this last 3 years have been a tremendous roller coaster ride of super highs and super lows, but I'm glad to say the Lord works it all for his purpose..
I'm currently at work on my next album... it looks like I'll be doing a pledge campaign through www.pledgemusic.com and dropping some new music 100 percent independently...
I haven't been this excited for new music in a long while... to be transparent, the grind of life can really wear on your creativity, but this newest stuff I've been writing might be the most powerful stuff I've done in a long time.
Tentatively, the new record will be called "jonah" (my real name) and reflects how the transparency of how I've been feeling..."
