Being the body of Christ, we are called to move and not remain stagnant in our faith. "My God" motivates believers to take the ministry God has given them into the world. The song is a push for Christians to leave well-known comfort zones and take the message of the Gospel  to a world that desperately needs it.  We are the movement of God and are challenged not to remain silent or still.  When the body moves together, the world can change.  "My God" reminds listeners that the obedience of one person activates that change.
