April 11, 2017 (Nashville, TN) -- GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter Tasha Cobbs received two nominations for the upcoming 2017 Billboard Music Awards, the leading trade publication announced yesterday. Receiving honors for Top Gospel Album (One Place Live) and Top Gospel Song ("Put A Praise On It"), the Motown Gospel recording artist picks up her third and fourth nominations since the categories were added last year. This year's nods are just the latest accomplishments in what has already been a big year for Tasha Cobbs. Her career-catapulting smash single, "Break Every Chain," was just certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), having sold over 500,000 units, and she was named Billboard's Top Female Gospel Artist and Most Streamed Gospel Artist of 2016. Cobbs also made news last month when she wed her long-time beau, music director/producer Kenneth Leonard in a private ceremony before family and close friends. Tasha Cobbs is currently working on her new album, Heart. Passion. Pursuit., to be released later this year on Motown Gospel.
